“U.S.-China Clean Energy Relations: He Said, Xi Said”

with

Nathaniel Bullard, Bloomberg New Energy Finance

A lecture and discussion hosted by

Sierra Club – China Working Group

Wednesday, February 29, 5:30pm-8:00pm (talk begins at 6:30pm, followed by Q&A)

Sierra Club, 85 2nd St., 3rd floor Yosemite room, San Francisco, CA (right by Montgomery BART station)

Fees:

The event is free, but beer will be served, so bring your ID if you would like to partake. Offerings will likely include one local option and one China option for $1-2 per beer to cover costs.

About the talk:

The media has often portrayed the U.S. and China as in a clean energy race and a clean energy trade war. This talk will focus on both the business and politics of clean energy investment and trade between the two countries to date, with a specific focus on the solar PV and wind sectors. For background, download Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s report: Joined at the Hip: the U.S.-China Clean Energy Relationship. For additional background on the U.S.-China clean energy trade cases, specifically, see my recent blog post.

About the speaker:

After spending three years as a sector analyst covering the solar industry, Nathaniel Bullard is now Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s Director of Content. He has a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced and International Studies and a bachelor’s degree in art history from Harvard University. In his free time, he is perfecting the recipe for his first home brew called Eight Immortals.
